One of our customers used to use blogger for all her website needs.
When the time came for a revamping of her website, it became simpler for Erin to simply use our Content Management System.
The one drawback was that we still wanted to let her readers access her old blogs. There are some simple solutions to do so such as a basic redirect or displaying part of the site in an i-frame. Both work but in terms of "sexiness", it's not all that! Not to mention that I would find it a bit disheartening for a customer to invest on a new look and feel, only to have to display old content in an old template.
So we started looking the Blogger API. API is just a fancy abbreviation that means that you can access one's site data using code. The first realization we got was that the Blogger API documentation could use some improvement!
Regardless, after some fighting with the API and a great collaborative effort, we managed to make it work. And our Jquery UI expert even found a way to display the information in a nice and slick way.
